2003 World Series of Poker

The 2003 WSOP is known as the year online poker made it big. A large number of Players qualified from online poker sites like PokerStars. In total 839 players entered the main event 2003 WSOP.

In an incredible final of the 2003 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event, Chris Moneymaker (money800 on PokerStars) took first place, $2.5 million in prize money and the coveted World Championship bracelet.

The final heads-up match at the 2003 World Series of Poker was one of the most exciting. It pitted Chris Moneymaker, whose tournament experience consisted almost entirely of tournaments played on PokerStars, against Sam Farha, an experienced high-limit poker player. Chris Moneymaker emerged as the 2003 World Champion, winning a $2.5 million first prize, with runner-up Sam Farha taking home a cool $1.2 million.
