World Series of Poker
The World Series of Poker is played each year in Las Vegas, Nevada. Players from all over the world come to show their skill. With over 50 events, the WSOP main event is known as the tournament of all poker tournaments. Players put down $10,000 to enter or get a free entry from PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker.
The 2008 World Series of Poker set a new record. Not in the amount of $10,000 main event entries as one might think…no that goes to the 2006 WSOP. I am talking about the main event tournament being stopped at 9 players. Then 117 days later the final table was played out. During those few months the 9 players of the final table were referred to as the “November Nine”. The main event resumed November 9th and was scheduled for completion with a champion November 11th. See the November 9 fnal table players for 2008.
